Broadband Consumer Labels

Understanding Broadband Consumer Labels

In compliance with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements, LUS Fiber provides Broadband Consumer Labels to ensure that you, as a customer, have access to transparent and standardized information about our internet services. These labels are part of the FCC’s effort to help consumers make informed decisions when selecting broadband plans by clearly outlining important details about service offerings.

In addition to the detailed labels, each plan is included in aa machine-readable link, which allows third-party tools to easily access and analyze the data. You can find the machine-readable version of our Broadband Consumer Labels here.

The Broadband Consumer Labels include:

  • Service Speed: The FCC mandates that providers disclose typical download and upload speeds. This helps you select the right plan for your needs, whether you're working from home, streaming content, or gaming online.
  • Data Allowance: If a plan has a data cap, it will be clearly stated. At LUS Fiber, many of our plans offer unlimited data, which will be reflected in our labels.
  • Pricing: The FCC requires providers to present all costs, including monthly fees, equipment rentals, and any potential additional charges. This gives you a full understanding of what you’ll be paying.
  • Network Performance: Important performance metrics like latency and packet loss are also included to give you insight into the quality and consistency of your connection, which is especially important for activities like video conferencing and online gaming.
  • Network Management Policies: Information about any network management practices, such as throttling, data prioritization, or congestion management, will be disclosed to comply with FCC regulations.

These labels ensure that all service providers are transparent and that you can easily compare services across different companies. At LUS Fiber, we’re proud to meet and exceed the FCC’s requirements, offering you a clear, accurate view of the services you receive.
